Dr. Camen Piering is a certified biologist and has been responsible for managing the Environmental Construction Supervision Department at IBL Umweltplanung GmbH since 2025. As head of the department, she coordinates ongoing projects and tasks related to environmental construction supervision for both land-based developments (e.g., power lines, gas pipelines, and industrial conversion projects) and marine projects (particularly island and Wadden Sea construction sites, submarine cables, and their landfalls).

Dr. Piering has been with IBL since 2021, specializing in environmental construction supervision and project management for major infrastructure projects in coastal areas and onshore grid expansion. She has extensive experience in environmental construction supervision, preparing and coordinating environmental documentation for approval procedures, and supporting major infrastructure projects through regulatory processes. Additionally, Dr. Piering provides both technical and strategic guidance to project developers regarding environmental aspects of construction execution and serves as the primary point of contact for relevant authorities and project partners.

Andrea Schammey has served as Head of Commercial Operations at IBL Environmental Planning since 2023. With over three decades of experience at the company, Andrea began her career at IBL with botanical surveys and the preparation of expert reports. From 2000 onwards, her responsibilities steadily expanded to include administration, finance and human resources. Andrea now oversees internal accounting, financial reporting and liquidity management. She is a key member of the Controlling team and acts as the primary liaison with the tax authority. Additionally, she manages all aspects of human resources, including contract administration, payroll and company pension schemes. She also coordinates maternity leave and parental leave arrangements, addresses health-related absences and serves as the main point of contact for all personnel matters. Andrea contributes not only her extensive expertise but also a deep understanding of IBL’s internal processes and corporate culture. Alongside her administrative duties, she places great importance on fostering a positive working environment and supporting employees in all HR-related issues.
